Payment Providers

Vexutopia offers three core payment rails. Your customers see only the options available for their region and amount at checkout — no extra configuration required on your side (except where a rail is API-only, noted below).

  • 1. Crypto on-ramp — global and regional providers that convert the customer's card/bank payment into crypto delivered to your payout wallet.
  • 2. Regional payment methods — local rails (Brazilian PIX, Argentine card-to-card, Russian SBP, Indonesian QRIS, Philippine GCash & Maya, Chinese Alipay & WeChat Pay) that settle to your Vexutopia merchant balance.
  • 3. Crypto (direct) — the customer pays in cryptocurrency through a hosted flow you start from the API with crypto: true. Not listed on the standard multi-method checkout page; see Payments API — Crypto (direct).

Telegram Stars is a separate optional flow — see the Telegram Stars section below or the Payments API for the POST /v1/payments/telegram-stars endpoint.

How routing works

When a customer opens a Vexutopia hosted checkout link, we detect their country and present all eligible options ranked by quality. The customer chooses their preferred method. Options are filtered by:

  • Minimum & maximum purchase amount — providers whose limits exclude the order amount are hidden (e.g. Alipay/WeChat enforce a 1 – 1,000 CNY per-order range)
  • Region availability — regional providers only appear for customers in their supported area
  • Provider status — providers that are offline or degraded are automatically excluded

Fee summary

All-in rates per rail — the single combined rate you are charged. Crypto On-Ramp and Telegram Stars step down with lifetime processed volume. Crypto (direct) is one flat combined rate (not tiered); all other flat rows are fixed totals.

Crypto On-Ramp

Crypto on-ramps accept the customer's fiat payment (card, bank, or local method) and deliver crypto straight to your payout wallet. Set a USDC payout wallet and they appear automatically at checkout based on the customer's country and the payment amount.

The card-to-crypto on-ramp options shown at checkout vary by the customer's country and amount. Card payment is offered wherever on-ramps are supported, and some countries add local bank or wallet methods.

Your fee is the Crypto On-Ramp rate in the fee summary above. Any conversion fee on the customer's side varies by payment method and currency and is shown to the customer at checkout before they confirm.

Minimum amount guidance

Each on-ramp option has its own minimum. If the payment amount is below an option's minimum, that option is not shown. To maximise the number of available on-ramp options:

AmountOptions at checkout
Under $10A few regional options only
$10+Global card options begin to appear, more as the amount rises
$30+The widest choice (a few local methods have higher minimums)
2

Regional Payment Methods

Local rails for customers in select countries. These appear as extra options at checkout alongside the on-ramps above whenever the customer's region matches.

Regional payments settle to your Vexutopia merchant account first. Track available balance and request withdrawals from Dashboard → Balances.

Crypto (direct)

For merchants who want customers to pay in cryptocurrency rather than with card or bank on-ramp: create a normal payment with crypto: true on POST /v1/payments. The response checkout_url points to a dedicated page on vexutopia.com where the customer selects a coin and sends funds. This rail is not offered as a tile on the standard multi-method hosted checkout — you opt in per payment from your server.

  • Pricing — one combined rate on the invoice, typically 2.5% all-in (not tiered). See the fee summary table above.
  • Minimum — USD 3 equivalent in your quoted currency (smaller amounts return a validation error)
  • Underpayments — if the customer sends within 1% of the quoted amount, the payment still completes. A larger shortfall waits for the customer to top up, and you can accept it at the amount received (see Crypto partial payments)
  • Webhooks — same events as other rails; payment_method is crypto
  • Return URL — use placeholders {payment_id}, {order_id}, {transaction_id}, and {status} as documented on the Payments page

Full API reference: Payments API — Crypto (direct).

Telegram Stars (optional)

Customers pay in Telegram Stars inside the Telegram app. You create these payments with POST /v1/payments/telegram-stars (LIVE API keys only). The response includes the same hosted checkout_url pattern as other payments (/pay?session=…); the customer continues to Telegram to complete the invoice.

  • Currency — XTR (whole stars only; amount is an integer string)
  • Checkout — shared Vexutopia checkout UI, then "Open invoice in Telegram"
  • Organization — optional: turn on Telegram Stars in Dashboard → Settings when you want to use this flow (off by default)
  • Not automatic routing — does not appear in the standard hosted-checkout provider list; you opt in per payment via the dedicated endpoint
  • Refund fee — $50 per Telegram-issued refund. Customers can ask Telegram Support to refund a Stars payment; the refund is recorded against the transaction, the refunded stars plus the $50 equivalent are deducted from your pending Stars balance, and the refund shows up on the Refunds & Chargebacks page.
  • Maturity — T+21. Each Stars sale becomes withdrawable 21 days after the customer paid, matching Telegram's customer-refund window. The "Available to withdraw" figure on your balance card excludes Stars still inside this window.
MethodMinimumRegion
Telegram Stars$0.01 USDWhere Telegram is available

Gift Card

Merchants can offer USD gift cards on hosted checkout. Faces are $5, $10, $15, $20, $25, $30, $40, $50, $75, $100, $250, and $500. The invoice must sit in that face's window (90% of face up to face). Pass gift_card_amount on POST /v1/payments to choose the face. See Gift Card.

  • Fee — 14% + $1 of the invoice, T+1. Request one payout per day. Credit is the invoice, not the card face. $50 if an issuer later voids a redeemed code
  • Gating — on by default. Hide it with the Gift Card toggle in Settings
  • Stock — if the default store is sold out, checkout opens another in-stock listing on that store for the same face, then an alternate store if every listing there is gone

Cash App

US customers pay a Lightning invoice from Cash App or any Lightning wallet. You are credited the invoice in USD. This is not Cash App Pay and not an on-chain Bitcoin address. See Cash App.

  • Fee — 7% of the invoice, T+0. Weekly payout cooldown. $50 if we reverse a credit
  • Gating — on by default. Hide it from Settings. US IP on live pays
  • Limits — $3 minimum. Soft cap $999. New York Cash App accounts may not be able to pay
