Cash App

US customers pay a Lightning invoice from Cash App, or from any Lightning wallet. You are credited the invoice in USD. This is not Cash App Pay, not a Cash App merchant account, and not an on-chain Bitcoin address. UniSat and other on-chain wallets cannot pay it.

Hosted checkout only. On by default; hide it from Settings if you do not want it. The tile shows for US connections (test checkouts skip the geo check). New York Cash App accounts may not be able to pay.

How checkout works

Create a payment as usual. No extra field is required.
A US customer opens Cash App on hosted checkout, then pays the invoice in Cash App or any Lightning wallet.
The session stays pending until the invoice is paid. Then you get payment.completed with payment_method: "cashapp" and processor: "lightning". Credit is the invoice USD.

Limits

$3 minimum. The tile stays hidden below that.
Soft cap $999. The invoice is still created; checkout warns the customer that Cash App may refuse larger Lightning payments.
Live pays need a US IP. Test checkouts do not.

Fees and settlement

Fee is 7% of the invoice.
Settles T+0. Weekly payout cooldown.
$50 fee if we have to reverse a credit.

Errors
